Printing

Helpful information about printing issues.

Print credits

Purchasing credits

Print credits can be purchased from the self-service kiosk located on the 3rd floor in Dalhousie Land. Please note the kiosk only accepts 10p, 20p, 50p, £1, £2 coins. Change cannot be given for use in the kiosk by either Library or Computer Services staff.

Selecting a printer

Before printing make sure you are connected to the correct printer. To do this, choose Print from the File menu. In the window displayed check where it reads the name of the printer, and select the printer you require. Check page set-up to ensure page size is set to A4. Your job will not print if page size is not A4 (although you will not be charged).

Lost credits

If you have lost print credits due to a printer fault please make a note of the computer you are using, the room you are in, the printer you tried to use, and the date and time. Send this info in an email to the IS Helpline, and once the print log has been checked, your lost credits will be reimbursed.
