Careers and former students
Career prospects open to graduates are wide and varied. Many will work within a design agency or in a freelance capacity in areas including brand/corporate identity, exhibition design, computer/screen-based work, packaging, publishing, advertising and promotion.
Graduates of graphic design also move into many other areas across the creative field, combining their specialist skills with advanced IT skills for example, and working in the mutlimedia, digital gaming, film, television, the media and within educational industries.

Jane Stockdale BA (Hons) Visual Communication (Graphic Design), 2003
Jane now works as a freelance photographer and graphic designer, with clients including MTV, Adidas, EMI, Lodown magazine and Saatchi & Saatchi. Her work ‘Explosion’ was featured on the front cover of November 2008’s Creative Review magazine.
