EDimitrios Vlachos has been a Greek State Teacher of Music in secondary education for 17 years. He recently returned from sabbatical as a PhD research student sponsored by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) in Industrial Design. He has an MSc(Eng) from the University of Liverpool (UK) in Product Design & Management. He graduated from two Technological Educational Institutions in Greece: TEI of Piraeus with the degree of "Ptychion" [BSc(Eng)] in Industrial Informatics, and TEI of the Ionian Islands with the degree of "Ptychion" [BSc] in Technology of Sound & Musical Instruments (distinction & 1st award). He also graduated from Athens conservatories with various diplomas in Piano, Music theory, and Music teaching with distinctions & awards. He studied Sound Engineering graduating with a Diploma from a Cinema & TV School in Athens. He is an experienced choir conductor and organist working for the Deutschesprachige Katholische Gemeinde St. Michael in Athens for over 6 years. He worked as a lecturer in Higher Education for one year and has participated in many scientific research programmes. His native language is Greek. He also speaks English and German.
