About the programme

The MSc in History of Art, Theory and Display provides students with a number of ways to explore their chosen field and their further careers in the area of History of Art.

This unique programme combines academic study of the History of Art with more vocational elements, including an internship possibility in a local museum or gallery.

The degree aims to provide a thorough grounding in Art History, in both the pre- and post-1800 period. Half a student’s option course choices must be in the pre-1800 period and half in the post-1800 period. The Internship is an optional course choice: if students don’t want to take the Internship then they can choose two further option courses instead.
