The School of Economics is home to research expertise covering nearly all areas of the subject, with particular strengths in the study of behaviour, incentives and contracts.
We are affiliated with the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics, which is the outcome of a substantial investment in Economics Research in Scotland (approximately £21 million over 5 years) by the Scottish Funding Council and ten participating universities.
We run an active programme of seminars, workshops and visitors.
Over the years we have developed a repository of discussion papers presented at seminars, conferences and workshops.
Our PhD programme has also grown significantly over recent years, and is run in conjunction with the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics.
