The largest in the School, this subject area includes a broad range of themes in Christian theology and ethics.
Central themes include the traditional fields of practical theology, ethics, doctrine, science and religion, historical and philosophical theology.
In seeking to interrelate these areas of study, the subject area stresses the connectedness of belief, practice and context.
We admit students for supervised research in Christian Ethics and Practical Theology towards the PhD, the MPhil, and the MTh/MSc (by research).
Although many of them have interests that transcend this single field, the academic staff listed here may be thought of as being principally focused on topics related to Theology and Ethics.
