Each year the School of Divinity awards several Visiting Fellowships.
We invite inquiries and applications for Visiting Fellowships from scholars at other academic institutions who wish to spend an extended period of time at the School of Divinity (New College) for the purpose of conducting research. Church workers and independent researchers who wish to study in New College Library as external users during a private visit to Edinburgh cannot become Visiting Fellows, but may nevertheless contact the Visiting Fellows convenor for advice.
Although Visiting Fellow appointment carries no stipend, we are able to offer a study space and access to library and computing facilities in the University.
Visiting Fellow are also encouraged to take part in research seminars, and to attend any lectures offered in the School of Divinity.
