We provide healthy snacks and a nutritionally-balanced lunch every day.
Healthy morning and afternoon snacks are prepared by the staff and provided for all the children.
The children are encouraged to participate in the preparation of their snacks and enjoy them with their peers, which helps to develop social interaction.
If the weather is clement we will often take the children into the garden for snack time.
A hot lunch is provided daily for all full-time and part-time (morning) children.
We can accommodate special diets, and have a cook who prepares tasty and nutritious meals for the children.
Our menus have been compiled in conjunction with the catering department of Accommodation Services at the University of Edinburgh. We are the first university to receive "Food for the Brain" accreditation following a nutritional audit and training program.

Several options are available for babies under six months who are still being breast fed. We will discuss the options with you and agree the solution that is best for you and your baby.
In the baby room, there is a food preparation area where staff can make up bottles and feeds as necessary.
