Our babies have a daily routine and activities suited to their needs and stage of development. The baby playrooms are bright, cheerful rooms with great facilities and caring, fully-qualified staff to look after the children.
Age group: 6 weeks to 12 months
Staff-child ratio: 1:3
Maximum: 9 children
An individual pattern is followed for each child.

The daily routine will depend on the stage of development of your child, but will involve play, outside activities, sleep/quiet time and feeding at mealtimes.
If your child is under six months old and being breast fed, several options are available - the Nursery staff will be pleased to accommodate your specific requirements.

At playtime, the babies can investigate their environment, with a range of suitable toys and equipment available to encourage discovery, guided by interaction with the adult Nursery staff.
Siblings are encouraged to visit the baby room to help the babies to bond and socialise with other children.
Our babies' learning is supported through a national guideline, the "Pre-Birth to Three" framework, which aims to work in partnership with the parents/carers to ensure that these young children are valued and celebrated, that they are seen as competent learners and learn through a safe and stimulating environment with confident and trusting adults.
The babies have their own large playroom, with a separate sleeping/ quiet area and a washing/changing room.

The playroom is brightly-painted, with mats and special flooring to encourage crawling, mirrors on the wall to reflect light and encourage discovery, plus toys and decorations to fascinate and stimulate learning.

The babies' playroom is on the ground floor, and has access to its own private garden to the side of the house.
Nearby there is a large changing area with hand washing facilities. There is also a food preparation area where the staff can make up feeds as necessary.
