In 1993 the Society introduced individual Sector Awards to be presented annually for the most outstanding performance in health and safety by a company or organisation within a particular industry or sector.
Entrants must be able to demonstrate a robust and high quality safety management system together with a minimum of four years’ consistently excellent or continuously improving health and safety performance.
Presented to those organisations which have carried out 5-9 consecutive Gold Awards.
RoSPA Gold Award winners have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
RoSPA Silver Award winners have achieved a high level of performance underpinned by good management systems which are delivering consistent improvement and are working towards the level of excellence required for a Gold Award.
