Brief survey for completion by the College sector on health and safety issues.
As you may be aware, a new Community of Practice has been launched with Scotland’s Colleges.
The aim of this Health and Safety CoP is to develop a support forum for both on-line access to information and sharing best practice at regular sector events.
As you may know, the CHASTE project has been instrumental in initiating health and safety communication across the sector. The CHASTE project, however will be ending in April 2011 and therefore the Health and Safety CoP has been established, in conjunction with CHASTE, to continue and maintain a positive network of support in the future.
A launch event was held at Scotland’s Colleges in October 2010 and included speakers from the HSE and SCHWL. Discussions also took place on the further sharing of good health and safety practice and evaluating topics of interest for future events.
To support the suggestions made at the launch event, the Health and Safety CoP Steering Group have developed a sector survey with a view to gain feedback for suitable health and safety developments for the sector and ways of sharing information.
The CoP would be very grateful if each College within the sector would each take 5-10 minutes to complete and submit the survey.
The Steering Group will find this information extremely valuable and will use your feedback to provide suitable information and events to the sector in the future.
The survey has ten questions and some free text boxes for you to add your comments. It can be accessed via the link below and the closing date is Monday 13th December 2010.
If you have any queries about the survey, please email Claire Shiels (Chair of Community of Practice).
