Competent Advice - Fire Safety
The CHASTE Team are often asked where competent advice in relation to fire safety legislation, in particular fire risk assessment services, can be obtained.
Where possible we have always tried to broker partnership alliances between Colleges and Universities for provision of such services.
We do, however, recognise that such arrangements are not always possible and there are occasions when there will be an option to seek commercial consultancy for provision of specialist services such as these.
When seeking sources of such services, and to help in the avoidance of low quality advice, it may be beneficial to refer to the Register of Fire Risk Assessors and Auditors (produced by the Institution of Fire Engineers).
Entry criteria to the register, regulated by IFE, ensures that only experienced, qualified and competent persons are registered.
