Dr Chris Perrons
Chris received his doctorate in virology from University College London and has over 25 years research experience. Whilst at UCL he also worked extensively on health and safety issues and was Departmental Safety Officer and adviser to UCL’s Genetic Modification Safety Committee. Chris has an M.Phil in bacteriology and is a Chartered Biologist (CBiol). He is a member of the European Biosafety Association and the Institute of Safety in Technology and Research. Chris held the post of Biological Safety Officer at the Institute of Cancer Research, London before joining the University of Edinburgh in January 2009 as the University Biological Safety Adviser.
