How to prepare
You will find suggestions on this page to help you get the most from your time with a careers adviser.
Before your appointment
- think about your situation and what is important to you
- jot down the key issues you would like to discuss
- if you want to get started before your interview, you may find our 'Career planning programme' or 'Prospects Planner' useful.
Things to consider bringing with you
You don't have to bring anything, but you are welcome to bring along things which you think would be relevant to the discussion, for example:
- a draft CV or cover letter
- a draft application
- a print-out from 'Prospects Planner'
It is your session, so you set the agenda.
