Occupational section
This section, colour coded in green, contains the main occupational information folders organised into 'career families' and searchable by index.
You will find detailed information about various career areas, including job profiles, information from professional bodies, case studies, journals and articles. It is a good idea to consult these folders before you start applying for jobs/courses.
Some folders contain "Industry Insights"; reports which provide detailed labour market information from a wide range of industries.
You will also find a comprehensive collection of reference books corresponding to each career area, and a range of takeaway literature providing you with up-to-date profiles of career areas and employers.
A number of employment-related DVDs are also available to watch in the information centres.
