This section, colour-coded in yellow, contains resources to inform you about all aspects of further study and help you make the best choice for you.
Finding out about courses
Going on to further study is a major commitment, and the yellow further study folders contain general information which can help you decide whether this is right for you.
There is information for UK and international study. The Careers Service is also a Fulbright centre so has a very wide range of information about studying in the United States.
There are dedicated information folders and reference books for some of the most popular areas for further study such as:
- law
- graduate entry to medicine
- teaching
Applications
We have resources to help with applications, such as the booklet 'Effective Applications' and 'How to Write a Research Proposal'. Other resources include information and practice material for admissions tests, such as GAMSAT.
Funding
Very few courses have guaranteed funding available, so you may have to apply to a wide variety of sources. Use our resources to track down relevant funding bodies. These include reference books such as the 'Directory of Grant-Making Trusts'.
Copies of the 'Prospects Postgraduate' and 'Prospects Funding' guides are available to take away.
