The Careers Service is able to provide career development support for research staff, as indicated below. Careers support for other staff may be available through HR.

Careers support for University of Edinburgh research staff

Through special funding arrangements the Careers Service is able to provide career development support for academic research-only staff, e.g. research assistants and associates, post-docs and research fellows.

We also offer individual career development consultations with a careers adviser. These are confidential, available at any time throughout your contract and you can book as many consultations as you need. They can be used for many purposes including:

Other staff

Staff who are on short-term contracts, are at risk of redundacny or who are considering applying for voluntary severance may be eligible for support via HR's Staff Support Service. Please contact HR for further information.
