Event: UK Tier 2 Visa changes
This presentation will be given by Dearson Winyard International (DWi) and will focus on the Tier2 (General) visa category of the points based immigration system.
Changes to the points based immigration system (PBS) were introduced by the UK Border Agency in April 2012 and have the resulted in the removal of the Tier 1 Post Study Work visa route. This means that graduates from outside the European Economic Area can no longer arrange their own visas independently in order to work in the UK after completing their studies.
Employers can still hire international talent via the Tier 2 route and immigration specialists from DWi will explain the process. The talk will be followed by a question and answer session where International Advisers from the Careers Service and the International Office will join the speaker from DWi.
