Congratulations to Roberta Kovacs (Economics, University of Edinburgh) who was declared "First Year of the Year" in the TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year awards last week.
The University of Edinburgh had 4 finalists in different categories - well done to you all!
Roberta clinched the title against strong competition from the other 9 finalists in her category, and wins a summer internship with sponsors Ernst and Young, and a place on their International Intern Leadership Conference in Florida.
Roberta holds positions in several student societies; she is the President of a consulting society and Head of PR for one of the biggest societies; the EconSoc. She is passionate about helping start-up businesses and spends some of her time working with local companies. Roberta has managed various projects at the University, including a student business competition, The Edinburgh Apprentice, when she managed a team of 25 to organise the event which attracted over 300 entries.
Roberta receives her reward from from Liz Bingham, Restructuring Partner with the sponsor Ernst and Young, and Michael Portillo.
