Student Employee of the Year - Regional winners

An outstanding three University of Edinburgh Students have won the regional stages in their categories for Student Employee of the Year, beating off competition from Universities and Colleges across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Another student has been Highly Commended in their category.

  • On campus - Step up to leadership - Lian Selby nominated by Philip McGuinnes, EUSA
  • On campus - Above and Beyond - Maria Stoian nominated by Lorna Bruce, The International Office
  • On campus - Commercial impact (highly commended) - Matthew Gordon nominated by Tessa Birley, Development and Alumni

The Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) awards have been running since 2002 by the National Association of Student Employment Services (NASES). The awards recognise students who have made an outstanding contribution to their work place while combining part-time work with study commitments.

Nominated by their Employers they will now go forward to the National stages of the competition where the winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in London.
