Preparing for interviews/assessment centres
The Careers Service gathers feedback from students and graduates who have attended interviews or assessment centres with a wide range of employers.
Your fellow students and Edinburgh alumni can give you an idea of what to expect from an interview or assessment centre (although remember that employers change their procedures).
As well as practical information such as questions asked and detail on the types of exercises used, the feedback also provides information about the atmosphere at the interview (i.e. was it business-like or casual?).
If you have an interview or assessment centre coming up, make sure you find out what tips previous interviewees want to pass on.
Find this feedback on SAGE (search for the employer and then select 'interview and assessment centre feedback') and in paper form in the Careers Service.
