In response to your feedback, we've made changes to how you can see an adviser on Tuesday evenings.
Our central area office is open until 7pm on Tuesdays during semester, to give students and graduates who may find it difficult to access the service during normal office hours more opportunities to use our resources and speak to staff.
If you would like to speak to a careers adviser on a Tuesday evening, you can now book a short appointment of up to 20 minutes. This is a change from the previous system, which operated on a drop-in basis and could result in lengthy waiting times at busy periods.
The benefits are:
As with all short appointments, late evening appointments can only be booked on the day itself from 9:30am onwards. You can either call into our reception on the Third Floor of the Main Library building, or 'phone 0131 650 4670.
Short appointments are offered daily during semester and frequently during vacation at both the central area and King's Building offices. You can also request a guidance interview of up to 45 minutes. Further information on how to see a careers adviser is available here:
During busy periods for the service demand for short appointments and guidance interviews can be very high. In addition to changing our system for late evening appointments, we have also increased the number of appointments we offer at these busy times to meet this demand as much as possible.
The Careers Service is here to support you and we welcome your feedback. If you would like to make a comment, suggestion or ask a question about any aspect of our service, you can find out how to here:
