The School of Biological Sciences engages in a wide variety of public activities ranging from individual visits to local schools, to multi-media exhibitions of national significance.
We are committed to sharing our knowledge, resources and skills with the public, and hope, in turn, to learn from the insight of the communities with which we engage.
Dr Heather McQueen
Associate Director of Teaching for Outreach and Public Engagement
The Scottish Initiative for Biotechnology Education (SIBE) is situated within the School providing specialist activities for schools and educators as well as support for more general public engagement activities.
Beside our major current and recurrent events and projects as described on these pages, many of the large number of enthusiastic and creative staff here at the School of Biology carry out smaller, and often surprisingly unconventional, unsung activities.
If you would like to discuss the possibility of us working with your group or organization, even if you do not see what you are looking for here, please get in touch with us.
