We offer six on-campus Masters programmes and two online Masters programmes. You can study towards an MSc or a Postgraduate Diploma. Our online courses are also available as a Postgraduate Certificate or as Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

MSc Biodiversity & Taxonomy of Plants
Explore the world of plant diversity and pure and applied taxonomy. Taught in partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh.

Use computer-based skills and tools to understand a wide range of biological problems through the wealth of data generated by modern technology.
MSc Biotechnology
Create new products and services, and evaluate current economic structures used in the fuel, food and pharmaceutical industries.
MSc Systems & Synthetic Biology
Gain experience in one of the newest areas of biology, and discover how to apply engineering principles to the understanding and designing of biological networks.
MSc Quantitative Genetics & Genome Analysis
A suite of four programmes allowing students to specialise in Animal Breeding and Genetics, Evolutionary Genetics or Human Complex Trait Genetics.
