The View at Easter Bush
The View is the University of Edinburgh's second largest catering facility located within the Royal (Dick) Veterinary School location at the Easter Bush Estate in Midlothian.
Opened as a new facility in april 2011, "The View" provides 450 seats and a wide range of catering for all students and staff working out a multiple buildings including the Vet School, large and small animal hospitals and Roslin institute.
Catering is offered across three counters with a hot counter providing the full range of Scottish breakfasts, filled hot rolls, hot lunches and baguettes, panini, salads, toasties and home made soups. There is a centre island bar offering wide salad selection as well as the snack items of baked potatoes, sandwiches, panini, as well as cakes, pastries, muffins and cookies. For those in a hurry there a separate "grab and go" take away bar. All three counters offer speciality teas and coffees as well as a wide selection of cold drinks.
The extensive food offering in this unit provides for over 1,200 staff and students at the site and opening times also recognise the early starts for many students as part of their studies.
