Located in the Pollock Halls complex and opened in September 2009, John Burnett House is the University's newest hall of residence. It provides accommodation for a total of 146 first year undergraduate and post-graduate students.
Pollock Halls is approximately 20 minutes' walk from George Square and 35 minutes' walk from King's Buildings.
John Burnett House offers a variety of room types ranging from en-suite rooms, both shared and singles, standard singles and superior rooms.
The twin rooms are spacious, measuring 18.2m² and they have been especially designed to cater for the requirements of two residents sharing a living space. Each room benefits from en-suite facilities with a designated dressing space and abundant storage and study areas.
Our superior single rooms are all en-suite and offer almost double the space of our standard single rooms. The superior room provision includes double the wardrobe space of a single room and a ‘lounging space’ with additional soft seating.

Given the variety in room types and sizes across our estate, we are only able to provide example layouts of a ‘typical’ flat or room.
