Self-catered flats and residences
Arrival procedures, including check-in and key collection, for new student residents of University flats.
This information may change before the start of the academic term in September 2013; you are advised to check this page for the latest news before setting out for Edinburgh.
If you have fully accepted your contract offer of University accommodation, you will be able to move in to your allocated accommodation from 09:00 (9am) on Saturday 7th September 2013.
If you are going to arrive after 22:00 (10pm), you should not go to the Site Office but to our main Reception Centre at Pollock Halls (18 Holyrood Park Road, EH16 5AY); you will be admitted to your accommodation on a temporary basis and will then be able to complete the admission process at the appropriate Site Office the next day.
- This does not apply to those in Blackfriars Street, Beaverbank, Sugarhouse Close, IQ Fountainbridge, McDonald Road, Meadow Court, Mansion Fountainbridge, Chalmers Street, Richmond Place and Roxburgh Place who should at all times report directly to the Site Office indicated; assuming you have fully accepted your contract offer of accommodation.
- If arriving for David Horn House, Kitchener House or Fraser Court after 3pm on Monday 9th September, please collect your keys from our main Reception at Pollock Halls (18 Holyrood Park Road, EH16 5AY).
If you have NOT fully accepted your on-line accommodation contract before arriving in Edinburgh, you should always go to our main Reception Centre at Pollock Halls (18 Holyrood Park Road, EH16 5AY). If you are arriving late at night (after 22:00/10pm), you may need to book temporary accommodation in a nearby guest house or youth hostel for the first night.
If you have made fully confirmed arrangements with Accommodation Services to arrive earlier than Saturday 7th September 2013, you will need to check in and collect your keys at our main Reception Centre at Pollock Halls (18 Holyrood Park Road, EH16 5AY) until 4.30pm (16:30) on Friday 6th September 2013. If you arrive after 4.30pm (16:30) on Friday 6th September, then please go direct to your Site Office, details below.
If you will be arriving outwith 7th-8th September 2013, 9am to 10pm (09:00 to 22:00), please contact the site email address detailed below.
