Overview
Accommodation Services provides internet and telephone facilities to the vast majority of new student residents staying in University residential accommodation.
Internet and telephony
Keycom
Accommodation Services properties are provided with internet and telephony services by Keycom Plc. These services include a fast broadband internet connection, a VOIP telephone and in some locations IPTV internet television will be available. The exact provision provided varies between properties.
- The VOIP telephone provides a high quality service using the Keycom data network instead of the standard wired telephone network.
- IPTV delivers streamed television channels and video content to your computer using the Keycom data network.
- IPTV will only be available at Pollock Halls of Residence.
- You must buy a UK Television Licence to legally view any form of television in your room.

Other University computing facilities
If you do not have access to one of our IT residential networks, or wish to access course software, there are many open access and departmental computing laboratories which you can use.
Buying computers
If you wish to purchase a personal computer through the University, there are a number of options available to you.
