Located on the seventh floor of the Michael Swann Building at King's Buildings, the Upstairs Café commands outstanding views of Edinburgh Castle and the surrounding skyline.
We offer an extensive hot food selection and range of snacks.
The hot food menu operates on a weekly cycle that includes a daily meat course and a vegetarian choice, as well as a hot dessert of the day.
In addition, there are baked potatoes, paninis, a salad bar and a range of pastries, together with confectionery, crisps, cold drinks and speciality teas and coffees.
The Upstairs Café has achieved both the Healthy Living and Food for the Brain awards.

The KB Café is located on the ground floor of the Noreen and Kenneth Murray Library. It provides an extensive range of freshly ground speciality coffees and organic Fairtrade teas, along with soups, baked potatoes and a wide selection of sandwiches, panini, baguettes and salads, together with confectionary, soft drinks, freshly made smoothies and frappés.

The Darwin Café opened on the 11th September 2013 and is located on the first floor of the Darwin Building on our Kings Buildings campus. The café is open Monday to Friday and serves a varied range of food and drinks. On offer are a daily selection of hot and cold snacks such as Panini, baguettes, salads, soup and baked potatoes as well as a choice of hot drinks, freshly made smoothies and a wide choice of confectionary and crisps. The café is located within the newly renovated study space and offers an area for students to come and relax or catch up on their work whilst enjoying a coffee or a bite to eat.
