The Higher Education Academy runs an annual, national survey of taught postgraduate students.

All eligible students have been sent a personal email invitation. You can also access the survey on MyEd.
Understanding your experience and satisfaction is really important for the University.

Your feedback, through participating in PTES, is valuable to the University in helping to enhance the postgraduate taught experience at Edinburgh.

What you told us
- Postgraduate taught students at Edinburgh were generally happy with teaching and learning provision, contact time with staff and the level of teaching support received. They said the overall teaching quality was consistently or generally good. The majority also found their course intellectually stimulating.
- Most agreed that library services and information technology resources were good enough for their needs and easily accessible.
- Overall, most postgraduate taught students said that their expectations of the University had been met or exceeded thus far.
Areas where work needs to be done
Graduate Schools are working on ensuring the environment, culture and support provided for postgraduate taught students at Edinburgh is the best possible.
Feedback on assessed work
The University developed feedback standards and guiding principles as well as an enhancing feedback website with information for both students and staff.
Access to social study space
The library is providing additional dedicated postgraduate study space as part of the redevelopment of the Main Library.
