The University of Edinburgh surveys all postgraduate students regularly; results are analysed and reported to relevant University Committees.
Analysis is reported so that any areas of concern can be discussed and action can be taken as appropriate, as well as allowing us to highlight and share good practice. Postgraduate students' participation in the surveys and sharing their views is extremely valuable and much appreciated by the University
The University participates in the annual Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES). This national survey is run by the Higher Education Academy and is now open to postgraduate taught students at Edinburgh.
The survey closes in June 2012.
The National Union of Students (NUS) has produced a short video featuring student reps talking about the national postgraduate experience surveys and why they are important.
The University participates in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). This national survey is run by the Higher Education Academy every two years.
The next PRES survey will be in 2013.
