Code of Discipline
Unacceptable behaviour and disciplinary procedure are covered by the Code.
Details of the sorts of behaviour considered unacceptable by the University are set out in the General Statement on Student Discipline. Information on the disciplinary procedure and structure is set out in the Code of Discipline.

Disciplinary authorities
The majority of student disciplinary cases are dealt with at a local level by Authorised Officers. However more serious disciplinary cases may be referred by an Authorised Officer to the Principal, who may in turn refer the case to the University Discipline Committee.
Oversight of the University’s disciplinary policy and procedures is the responsibility of the Standing Commission on Discipline. The Standing Commission makes recommendations to the University Senate, which has primary responsibility for student discipline.
