Enhancement themes
Engaging with the quality enhancement framework (QEF).
Definition
Establishing a creative, reflective and productive relationship with the QEF Enhancement Themes based on an engagement which is the most appropriate for an institution, and for each level within an institution.
Examples
Examples of how this Indicator of Enhancement is embedded in the University’s reflection, procedures and activities:
- the institutional contact for the current Enhancement Theme - the 21st Century Graduate - provides University leadership on the theme
- themes are embedded in learning and teaching strategies, and in the work of the Colleges
- schools and colleges have flexibility in prioritising individual themes, and work on themes may be at different stages of development according to these priorities
- devolved learning and teaching strategies reflect these priorities
