Programme specifications
Each degree programme must have a programme specification.
Each degree programme is required to have a programme specification which provides core factual information.
This programme specification must be prepared as part of the material presented for approval to the Board of Studies.
Once a programme has been approved the programme specification has several functions:
- it provides information about the programme for a variety of internal and external audiences
- it is required to help the University meet its European Diploma Supplement obligations
- it forms part of the evidence base for internal subject review and external institutional review
The golden copy of the programme specification is held by the relevant school.
