Committees

The Senate, colleges, schools and students participate in quality assurance and enhancement.

Senate

The Senate Quality Assurance Committee is responsible on behalf of the Senate for the University’s academic quality assurance framework.

Colleges

Each of the University’s three colleges has a committee responsible for the implementation of the University’s quality assurance framework.

These college committees report annually to the Senate Quality Assurance Committee.

Schools

Schools and teaching organisations report annually to the College Quality Assurance Committee.

They provide details on their monitoring and review activity, and reflections on this process.

Students

Student participation is an integral part of the University’s quality assurance framework, at all stages and levels.

All formal college and University committees have student representation. Each school has a staff-student liaison committee with a student-led agenda.

The University-level Student Experience Forum also aims to enhance the quality of the student experience.

It discusses matters of common concern between Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA) and the University administration.
