LAUNCH.ed provides opportunities for students and new graduates to take their first steps as an entrepreneur or startup.

Business advisers are on hand to discuss ideas, provide advice and run workshops on everything from business planning, start-up finance, market research, sales and marketing.

Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre

The Edinburgh Technology Transfer Centre (ETTC) is the University’s business incubation facility.

It acts as a launch pad for start-up and spin-out companies and technology transfers. The ETTC provides an effective and facilitating bridge between research labs and the business world.

The Centre is a joint venture between the University and the City of Edinburgh Council.

Scottish Microelectronics Centre

The Scottish Microelectronics Centre is a world class centre for incubation, research and development in the semiconductor sector.

The Centre links academia and technology companies, providing space and support services to start-up companies within this science sector.

The Centre is a joint venture between the University and Scottish Enterprise.

Edinburgh Technopole

Edinburgh Technopole is a science and technology park just south of the city.

It offers accommodation to a mixture of high growth technology SMEs, and large corporate research and development centres.
