Background

I have worked in Zaozhuang Hospital as a nurse for 13 years. I first trained as a midwife in 1993 in China. I completed my advanced nursing certificate in Shandong University in1998 and I gained my Bachler degree of nursing studies from Weifang Medical University in 2004.  In 2007, I moved to England and worked with Barchester Healthcare LTD for 5 years, then I moved into Scotland in 2013 to pursue further academic qualifications. I have completed my Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Edinburgh on September 2014. I am now studying for my PhD in Nursing Studies.

Project activity

Project Title:The lived experience of people with dementia and family caregivers in China: an interpretative phenomenological analysis

Project details: My research is to explore the life experiences of people with dementia and their caregivers in China, it mainly focuses on the impacts of the changing socio-economic, demographic and cultural values on their perspectives. The negative and positive impact of their lived experiences, their ability to cope with it and their expectations from family and health and social care support.
