Director of Professional Services

Background

Emily is currently Director of Professional Services for the School of Health in Social Science. Prior to that she was Head of Student Administration and managed the delivery of services and systems to support the School's Student Administration and Learning and Teaching activities providing advice and administrative support to key School staff including the Head of School, Director of Learning and Teaching and Postgraduate Research Co-ordinator and has line management responsibility for the School Teaching and Student Support team, overseeing UG and PG Teaching Support, Student Support, Exams administration and administration relating to Postgraduate Research.

Emily acts as a member of the School Learning and Teaching Strategy Committee contributing to the development of policies and practice, recommending and identifying priorities, particularly as they relate to administrative processes and also provides administrative support for the professional accreditation of School programmes and for the School TPR and PPR.

Emily acts as a member of the School Board of Studies, providing advice and guidance on the development of new courses and programmes and other changes to curriculum, contributing to matters as they relate to administrative processes and providing advice on relevant University/College policies and regulations.

Emily attends the College Postgraduate Studies Committee, PG College Administrative Forum and the Undergraduate College Forum to ensure that School issues are approprately represented and reported.
