Biography

Background

Colin Roberts was educated at the University of Warwick and the London School of Economics.

After undertaking research on employment in the engineering industry at Warwick and a temporary lectureship at the University of Southampton, he came to Edinburgh.

He has a longstanding teaching and research interest in econometrics, particularly on the empirical aspects and this has led to research and consultancy interests in fisheries economics, housing economics and auditing fees.

He is a founding editor of the Journal of Economic Surveys and has visited the Universities of Canterbury (New Zealand), Melbourne and Monash.
