PhD Philosophy

Background

Having completed my BA at the University of Southampton, I moved back to my hometown of London to pursue an MSc in Philosophy of Science. There I became interested in the Philosophy of Cognitive Science, especially Connectionism and Embodied Cognition. I completed my MSc dissertation on Connectionism's implications for folk psychology and am now investigating the notion of mental representation in prediction error minimisation networks for my PhD thesis.

Research summary

Philosophy of Cognitive Science and General Philosophy of Science. Particular interests include: enactive cognition, scientific realism, mental representation, causation.
