Background

I graduated with a Bsc in Health Science (Honours) (Nursing) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2006. After practicing in several units (intensive care, adult medical, surgical and orthopaedic) at the hospitals in Malaysia, I joined International Islamic University, Malaysia as an academician. After 2 years of teaching the nursing students in the University, I further my education at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and awarded with Master of Health Science (Health Education) in 2012. Upon completion of my master, I continued to teach various nursing subjects and supervise students in clinical areas before commencing my doctoral study in 2014.

Shared Decision Making in the Management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in Malaysia: The Perspectives of Patients and Healthcare Professionals

This qualitative study is aimed to gain insight on the experience of the type 2 diabetic patients and healthcare professionals on patient involvement in decision making process and to explore their perspectives on shared decision making in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
