Reversible DNA melting is a crucial reaction in many hybridisation-based applications such as DNA microarrays and biochips. We investigate electrochemical stringency control of reversible DNA melting with various spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques, such as UV-Vis spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and thin layer spectroelectrochemistry. For high-throughput analysis, fluorescence resonance energy transfer and melting curve analysis is also being utilised.
