Careers Fair

The Careers Fair is a great chance to find out about potential career opportunities and meet employers keen to recruit Edinburgh students and graduates.

The Fair takes place on Tuesday 7, Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 October in Adam House on Chambers Street.

 

Students and graduates of any university are welcome to attend.

There is no need to pre-register for the fair; all visitors sign in at the door. The University of Edinburgh students should bring their matriculation cards, which will be swiped on entry.

There will be 120 organisations exhibiting at the first two days of the fair - different ones each day - including employers and professional bodies from a variety of sectors.

There will also be a programme of talks focusing on visa information for international students, tips for making successful applications delivered by the sponsor Standard Life, and advice on developing your personal brand from Barclays and Enterprise Rent-a-car.

Careers advisors and information staff will be on hand to offer guidance on your next steps, as well as highlight useful resources for your own research.

The third day of the Careers Fair, themed "More than Profit", offers a chance to meet with an alternative range of organisations.

If you are looking for something a bit different, come along and meet charities, not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, social service organisations, international development and environmental organisations, who can tell you about both paid and voluntary work, and give hints and tips on how to get into their areas of work.
