The Uni-Tots Nursery celebrated Burns Day with a Scottish-themed week of activity.
The Nursery’s Scottish Week highlighted its ongoing commitment to Scottish life and language throughout the curriculum.
Dr Katherine Campbell, Lecturer in Ethnomusicology with Celtic and Scottish Studies, was invited to participate in the celebrations.
She sang to the children a selection of songs and rhymes by Robert Burns.
The children were also encouraged to make artwork inspired by Burns poetry.
Plus, there was traditional Scottish food, such as oatcakes and porridge, on offer.
Scottish stories published for pre-schoolers were also read, familiarising the tots with Scottish dialect.
Uni-Tots Nursery is based within the Psychology department at George Square.
It has been run for more than 38 years to support research and teaching in the department.
It is open to all children aged between two and a half and five years old.
