Staff members from all areas are invited to nominate their colleagues for a range of University awards.
The Chancellor’s Awards, Tam Dalyell Prize for Public Engagement and The Principal’s Medals are open for nominations.
The Chancellor’s Awards were first awarded in 2003.
They reward staff for outstanding contributions to both teaching and research, and also offer the opportunity to honour someone at the early stage of their career who shows great potential.
Nominations need to be submitted to Heads of College by Friday 20 April.
Final nominations should be submitted to Marketing Manager Deepthi de Silva-Williams by Friday 4 May.
Any member of the University community can nominate and self nominations are permitted.
Previous nominations may be resubmitted.

The University awards two Principal’s Medals annually.
The Principal’s Medal for Service to the Community honours a staff member or student who has played a key role in a project or service that has been of benefit to the wider community.
The Principal’s Medal for Outstanding Service recognises any staff member who has made a contribution to the University that has far exceeded the expectation of their role.
Nominations must be received by Marketing Manager Deepthi de Silva Williams by Friday 4 May.

The Tam Dalyell Prize for Public Engagement rewards exceptional science communicators at the University of Edinburgh.
Individuals or groups are eligible for the award.
Nominations should be submitted to Heads of College by Monday 3 September.
The nominations will then be ranked and forwarded to Marketing Manager Deepthi de Silva-Williams by Friday 7 September.
