Charity Everest trek

Staff member Jo Spiller will trek to Everest base camp in October to raise money for charity.

Jo is an e-learning software developer at the Learning Technology Section within the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine.

She aims to raise £4,500 for research into the hereditary eye disease Retinitis Pigmentosa.

She will climb to an altitude of 5,600 metres (18,370 ft) over a 13-day period.
