Senior team changes
Following the appointment of Prof Steve Chapman as Principal of Heriot -Watt University, changes are planned to the senior management team at Edinburgh.
The University congratulates Vice-Principal Chapman on his recent appointment and wishes him every success in his new role.
The University Court has now approved that Vice-Principal Professor April McMahon will succeed Prof Chapman in the role of Vice-Principal Planning, Resources and Research Policy from 1 September 2009.
The University is advertising for a suitable replacement for Professor McMahon in her current role as Head of the College of Humanities and Social Science.
I am delighted to be moving into this challenging new role, which is particularly important in the current economic climate.
