Professor Steve Chapman
Edinburgh Vice Principal Professor Steve Chapman is to be the new Principal of Heriot-Watt University.
Professor Chapman is currently Vice-Principal for Planning, Resources and Research Policy at the University of Edinburgh.
He will succeed Professor Anton Muscatelli as Principal and Vice-Chancellor at Heriot-Watt from 1st September 2009.
Lord George Penrose, Chair of Heriot-Watt's Court said:
"I am delighted that Heriot-Watt University has appointed Professor Chapman as its next Principal. Professor Chapman brings with him great experience in higher education and strengths of leadership in a research intensive university."
The University of Edinburgh extends its congratulations to Professor Chapman and wishes him well in his new appointment.
