Edinburgh student Jonathan King has won first place in the fourth Japanese Speech Contest for University Students.
Jonathan fought off students from Oxford, SOAS, Leeds and UCL to win the contest.
The event is jointly hosted by the British Association for Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language and the Japan Foundation.
