Canada’s Inuit leader will discuss key issues facing the Arctic at a University event.
Mary Simon, President of Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami - the national Inuit organization in Canada - will discuss development issues facing the Canadian Arctic.
These include human health, economic development, infrastructure and the problems caused by climate change.

The event will be hosted jointly by the University’s Centre of Canadian Studies and National Museums Scotland, which has several important collections of artefacts from Canada’s north.
Researchers at the Centre of Canadian Studies are researching the development of new forms of governance in the Canadian Arctic.
